Winter Across America
Winter Across America
Winter weather was determined to come in heavy this year, and it’s just the beginning.
Due to severe weather, snowfall, and low visibility, it’s a perfect time for trucks to break down. On the highway, truck drivers are dealing with full / heavy truck loads at high speeds. This creates the potential for damaging freight. This is not ideal.
Truck stops have been focusing on figuring new maintenance services for this year. Apparently, this has been in the works for quite some time now. In 2017, truck service centers and roadside assistance vehicles was launched by Pilot Flying J to deliver truck stop-based and mobile commercial truck services. Now, this is ideal!
Over the past couple years, the maintenance business has been growing and reaching more professional truck drivers since 2017 when PFJ originally launched it.
Across the company’s network of more than 750 North American travel centers, you’ll now find 21 truck service centers. In addition, four new ones just opened in El Paso, TX; Sioux Falls, SD; Waynesville, NC; and Lake Township, OH.
Now there are 135 Truck Care roadside assistance vehicles operating in 36 states. This is awesome and forever growing!
